Golden Sands Hotel – ‘the jewel of Famagusta’ – announces it will be opening its luxurious new complex on March 1. Its rooms for 900 guests boasts panoramic views of the Med and Famagusta old town. It would be open for just five months until the Turkish army seized control of the hotel – February 28, 1974
