Police seeking man who picked up dropped wallet

Limassol police on Friday were seeking a man who stole a wallet containing €3,900 that was dropped earlier at the entrance of a convenience store.

The owner of the wallet reported to police on Thursday afternoon, that after leaving the store he found out he had lost his wallet, which apart from the cash, contained credit cards and his ID card.

Police went through the footage of a security camera and found out that the wallet had been dropped outside the entrance.

It was picked up minutes later by an as of yet unknown man who took it, went in and bought cigarettes and left.

Police said the man spoke in the Cypriot dialect. He was described as being between 45 and 50-years-old, bald, and being of medium build.

At the time, he was wearing blue shorts and a white tank top.
