One remanded, one sought for suspected sexual assault on 10-year-old girl

A man, 22, has been remanded for allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl, the daughter of his partner they lived with in Nicosia.

Following his arrest earlier this week, he was remanded on Friday for six days while police are on the hunt for the mother’s ex, a 33-year-old man who also allegedly sexually assaulted the girl. It is not known if the ex is the girl’s father.

The two men are friends.

Although details are scant, reports are saying the mother has psychological problems and a younger child. Police received a report after the 10-year-old told her grandmother everything that happened.
