Bar review: Limassol Yacht Club

At the moment, the Limassol Marina is undoubtedly one of the prime choices for a night out. Whether it is an elegant meal or a relaxing drink calmed by the sea breeze, it has it all. Limassol Yacht Club is one of those hosted in the Limassol Marina and is an ideal place to sit back and let your daily worries wash away with a good bottle of wine or a refreshing cocktail.

The Limassol Yacht club has an air if elegance and sophistication off the bat, and once you enter it things do not change. In its minimalist colour palate for décor and elegant furnishings that work well together to create a stand out atmosphere that is full of sophistication yet utterly inviting and relaxing, it is what one might expect from a yacht club.

Other than serving food and delicious platters The Limassol Yacht Club offers a large variety of cocktails and has a satisfying wine list that meets even the highest requirements one may have from a bar. In these hot summer days a sparkling white wine, Prosecco, is also a prime choice, either enjoyed on its own or in the form of the delicious champagne cocktails the bar offers. One of the best options is the old fashioned Rossini made with strawberry liqueur or the Hugo made with Elderflower syrup, mint leaves and soda; the combination of the prosecco and the elderflower syrup create a great bittersweet taste and the mint leaves give a great balance to the drink.

Another great option in one of the delicious cocktails and I would opt for one of the house or the Martini cocktails. For coffee lovers, the Espresso Martini is made with vodka, Kahlua and an espresso shot. Another interesting drink is the Grape Martini made with gin, fresh grapes, lime and sugar syrup. The house special cocktails highlights include the Tropical Delight made with Malibu rum, fresh lime, fresh orange, brown sugar, sprite and soda.

Other than the slow service on a busy night and an incredibly lost hostess, the Yacht Club offers an unparalleled atmosphere teamed with a relaxing and tasty drink.
