Man injured in car accident identified as Episkopi serviceman (Update)

POLICE have identified a man knocked over and seriously injured on the Pareklissia road in Limassol on Sunday night, as a 27-year-old Briton who serves at the Episkopi base.

Police said the victim, who could not immediately be identified, was reportedly in the middle of the road when he was hit at about 10.45pm by a 42-year-old driver who notified the police.

The victim, who is in critical condition, is suffering from a brain contusion and multiple fractures in various parts of the body, is being held in the intensive care unit of Limassol General Hospital.
