Found dead in the sea

A 72-YEAR-OLD man was found dead at the Pissouri bay, Limassol, on Monday.

The man’s body, whose name – Antonis Potamitis – was released by police, was spotted floating by swimmers at the beach, who alerted the authorities.

He was rushed to Limassol General, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The 72-year-old’s cause of death will be established by an autopsy, to be performed on Tuesday at the Nicosia General.
