Scent of a woman

By Maria Gregoriou

The café, children’s play area and the place for almost everyone to hang out in Nicosia, Breakfast at Teafunny’s – which, if you have a toddler and you haven’t been to yet, should be on your lists of places to go – is not just all about sipping coffee and playing around.

On Wednesday the café will run a tea party to support the Karaiskakio Foundation in Nicosia under the slogan The Scent of a Woman… for a World without Leukaemia.

As you can tell, the party is for women who are welcome to come along and listen to medical advice in the fields of cosmetics and a healthy body. You will get to hear from plastic surgeon Dr Leonidas Sotiriou, dietician and nutritionist Anastasia Stavrou and stylist Demetris Paleologou.

But it not all about talking, there will also be a saxophonist playing all the way through the event, giving it that jazzy fee.

With your admission fee of €10 you will get a light cocktail (it is an afternoon event) and another drink of the coffee and tea kind. Of the amount collected 50% will go to the foundation so it may continue to give hope to those suffering from leukaemia.
