Police bar and driving checks

LIMASSOL police carried out 40 inspections on night clubs and other establishments as well as random vehicle checks throughout the night on Friday.

Police said it checked a large number of individuals and vehicles, which netted 19 bookings for drink driving and 29 fines for various other traffic violations. Eight motorists were also reported for driving without insurance.

Officers also reported 11 people for smoking in an enclosed space.

Patrols were carried out in various locations where disturbances had been reported.
