History and prospects of trade unions at FES discussion

THE Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) foundation is organising a conference and round-table discussion on the history and future prospects of trade unions in Cyprus on both sides of the divide.

The event will take place on Monday, June 22 from 3pm to 8.30 pm at the Chateau Status in the buffer zone (near Ledra Palace, opposite the Goethe Institute).

Titled “Trade Unions in Cyprus: Their Current State and the Challenges Ahead,” the event is open to the general public. Conference languages are English, Greek and Turkish (with simultaneous translation).

Speakers will include Greek and Turkish Cypriot trade union reps. The conference will include presentations on trade union affairs from Cypriot and foreign researchers.
