Racing ahead

Get ready to put on your running shoes and take part in the sixth annual 15km Garmin Troodos Green Race 2015 together with the Dro.Me.A. Racing organisation next Sunday.

You don’t have to be at the Troodos central square where the race will start and finish for another week, but we are giving you fair warning so you can get some running practice in before the big day.

On your run you can take in the breathtaking views and natural beauty. While the event offers us the chance to take part in an outdoor activity, it also strives to raise awareness for the protection of Cyprus’ forests.

If you are 18-years-old and over, you are eligible to take part in the 15km mountain race as it has an advanced degree of difficulty, both due to the mountainous terrain as well as the high altitude.

You can register on the day between 7.30am until 8.30am at Troodos square or online at www.dromearacing.com.

The race will start at 9am and will be completed in two hours and ten minutes.
