The concept of brunch is not new yet it has only started to take off in Limassol the past few years. Even so, finding a decent brunch place on a day other than Sunday was near impossible until The Cookhouse came along. The Cookhouse has become the ultimate brunch, early dinner hotspot and it is something that cannot be missed.
In the heart of the city centre, The Cookhouse gives off a modern American diner vibe that instantly makes each customer feel right at home. One thing is evident as soon as you visit the place, attention to detail was a top priority. Even the fact that you can witness your dish being created right in front of you from behind the bar gives the place a sense of coziness and intimacy. From the stools to long bar that stretches to the inside, everything has been given a lot of thought as to the atmosphere that will be created.
It’s not only the great décor that will please; the food offers something unique and mouthwatering. One of the main reasons to visit The Cookhouse is its brunch menu that is offered throughout the day. The Eggs Benedict are the best I’ve had in quite some time with the poached eggs exploding with taste that was infused with the delightful homemade hollandaise sauce. The layer of taste continues with a piece of crispy bacon and soft muffin making you crave more with each mouthful. If you love poached eggs but not the bacon that accompanies them you can have the Florentine made with Salmon which each are equally tasty. Most of all do not forget to team your brunch with one of their great coffees or even a tantalizing mimosa.
However, brunch is not only where The Cookhouse excels. The other dishes served all day, which are ideal lunch and early dinner options, are amazing treats for your pallet. The grilled paprika chicken will positively delight all lovers of spices and along with their homemade Bombay potatoes, the dish offers flavours that are not easily found in Limassol. The chicken was neither dry and overcooked nor the opposite; it was cooked to perfection. As was the Cookhouse burger with a freshly made patty that exploded with taste as you bit into it.
And that is not all, if you are looking for a sweeter dish you should select the pancakes made with mascarpone and blueberries topped with maple syrup. The pancakes are light and fluffy and the bittersweet combination of the mascarpone and the blueberries leaves your taste buds relishing every moment of it.
Even if you are not visiting for brunch or lunch, The Cookhouse is the go-to experience of this spring and summer. An experience where you can lay back, relax and take in the culinary skill of the best brunch place in Limassol. However, make sure you book a table as The Cookhouse tends to get quite busy, especially during weekends.
