Where do you live?
I live in Nicosia. No roommates no nothing, just me.
Best childhood memory?
If I had to pick one it would be my birthday party when I was turning 9 or 10. All of my friends showed up and we had the most amazing time.
Most frequented restaurant and absolute favourite dish? What food would you really turn your nose up to?
To be honest I am a huge fan of my chef cousin’s cooking. He is the chef at Sabai and I just love everything he makes there. The salmon is my favourite though. I could never eat colocasi (taro)
What did you have for breakfast?
Toast with lountza, egg, mayo and avocado. A slice of bread with nutella and some freshly squeezed orange juice.
Would you class yourself as a day or night person? What’s your idea of the perfect night/day out?
Definitely a day person. I love having my coffee in one of those really nice, small coffee shops in Nicosia with my friends.
Best book ever read?
I mostly read plays. I can’t think of a favourite one now, but a few months ago I read One Day When We Were Young by Nick Payne and I was fascinated by it. I loved it so much that I will be directing it. We premier on May 3, you should come.
Favourite film of all time?
I always answer the same, it’s Fried Green Tomatoes. Really nice sensitive story, well told.
Favourite holiday destination? What’s your dream trip?
I always enjoy going to Greece. I lived there for ten years so I have loads of friends to visit and places to go to. Having the right company is the secret to a dream trip.
What music are you listening to in the car at the moment?
My CD player is broken and the radio will only play Kiss FM. So there you go.
What is always in your fridge?
Eggs and oranges
Dream house: rural retreat or urban dwelling? Where would it be, what would it be like?
A flat in the city, right in the heart of it. A penthouse would be nice. I’d love the view.
If you could pick anyone at all (alive or dead) to go out for the evening with, who would it be?
Anton Chekhov. I would really appreciate his advice on a few things.
If the world is ending in 24 hours what would you do?
Panic I guess?
What is your greatest fear?
Well, with the mortality rate remaining steady at 100%, I would have to say death.
Tell me a joke…
A horse walks into a bar and the barman asks. Why the long face?
