Two arrested in cocaine bust

POLICE arrested two men on Monday in connection with possession of around two kilos of cocaine.

The suspects, 25 and 29, said they were planning on delivering the drugs to a third individual but did not give authorities a name.

Police had placed the 25-year-old’s house in Kantou under surveillance and at some point he came out holding a bag and got in a car, which arrived on the scene driven by the second suspect.

The vehicle was intercepted by members of the drug squad who found three packages in the bag, containing around two kilos of cocaine.

The pair, known to police from similar cases in the past, claimed they were delivering the drugs to a third person whom they refused to name.
