Bad weather is set to continue throughout the week with rain and storms in some areas, strong winds, lower temperatures and snowfall in the mountains, the met office said Monday.
After a short break, with weather that was more like spring, conditions have returned back to normal winter levels, Michalis Mouskos of the met service said.
Temperatures on Monday will reach about 15C inland, 16 in coastal areas and around 6 in the mountains, but local rains and storms are expected. From Monday afternoon on, snowfall is expected in the mountains.
The weather patterns will intensify over the next two days, Mouskos said, with more rain and storms expected. Temperatures will drop by four degrees, while snow is also set to fall on Wednesday in semi-mountain areas.
Strong winds, reaching gusts of seven on the Beaufort scale are also expected, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday, mainly in the coastal areas.
Local rain and storms will continue on Thursday and Friday and temperatures are expected to remain on the same levels.
