Turkish EEZ violations will be discussed at Cairo summit

Issues relating to regional developments, including the Turkish violations within Cyprus’ exclusive economic zone, will be among the issues to be discussed at the trilateral Summit meeting in Cairo on Saturday.

President Nicos Anastasiades who will depart for Egypt on Friday, will attend the summit along with the President of Egypt Abdel Fattah al Sisi and Prime Minister of Greece Antonis Samaras.

The Summit will also discuss trilateral cooperation in international fora and ways to further deepen the cooperation, as well as the prospects for cooperation in other fields of mutual interest.

Other issues to be discussed include developments in Iraq, in Libya, in Syria, the current phase of the Cyprus problem, the Palestinian problem, and combating terrorism.
Before the summit, Anastasiades will hold a private meeting with Sisi.

Later, there will be a private meeting among the three leaders and following that meeting they will give a press conference. Afterwards, the leaders will attend a working lunch hosted by President Sisi.

President Anastasiades will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides and Government Spokesman Nicos Christodoulides.
The President and the Cypriot delegation will return to Cyprus the same evening. (CNA)
