Peyia burglary

THIEVES stole lighting fixtures, air-conditioners and other electrical equipment  from a home in Peyia belonging to an Irish national who is currently abroad.

For the past 13 days, the house was being watched by a British man who reported to police that it had been burgled and emptied of most of the equipment.

Police said the thieves stole three light fixtures, five air-conditioners, a fridge and an oven, and even curtains and their rails. The value of the stolen equipment was not known.

Investigators determined that the thieves entered the home after breaking the window of an aluminium door on the side. They left the scene using a door in the sitting room.
