Burglary in Paralimni

An apartment in Paralimni was burgled during the early hours of Friday with various items valued at around €9,000 stolen, police said.

A 60-year-old Paralimni resident reported to police that between 11.45pm on Thursday and 3.30am on Friday his apartment had been burgled.

Stolen from the flat was a watch valued at €6,000, €2,000 in cash, two laptops valued at around €600 and a bottle of champagne worth €95.

Examinations carried out at the scene by Famagusta CID indicated that the apartment was broken into via the bathroom window.

The apartment is not covered by insurance nor does it have an alarm system, police said.
