Robbers nab jewellery in Polis

Jewellery valued at around €10,000 and close to €1,000 in cash were stolen from a flat in Polis Chrysochous on Tuesday, police said.

The incident was reported at quarter to midnight on Tuesday by the Cypriot flat owner. In his statement to police, the flat owner said that between 6pm and 11.30pm that evening, while away, his home was broken into and a safe he had in his bedroom closet stolen. According to the owner, €10,000 worth of jewellery was in the safe, while a wallet containing €930 was also taken.

Polis Chrysochous police are investigating the case.
