Tesco products at AlphaMega

MORE than 1,200 Tesco products will soon be available at AlphaMega supermarkets following an exclusive agreement signed with the UK chain.

Customers can already find a number of goods from Tesco’s on AlphaMega shelves but the Cypriot chain is looking to eventually bring in more than 1,200 different items, including cake-making products, frozen foods, beverages, personal care products, animal feed and other food items.

“It is particularly important for us that one of the three largest supermarket chains in the world, Tesco, has chosen AlphaMega for the exclusive distribution of its products in Cyprus,” the supermarket’s marketing manager Giorgos Theodorou said.

Tesco products are known for their quality and low prices which is what Cypriot consumers are looking for, he added.

“The Tesco brand name is widely recognised in Cyprus and we hope that the general public will embrace and support Tesco products, which are part of the wide selection of our imported products,” he said.

“The two supermarkets’ brand philosophies coincide as they are aimed at offering customers the best shopping experience possible, responding to new dietary and consumer needs, based on quality and affordable prices,” a statement from AlphaMega said.
