High level visit to China

ENERGY Minister Giorgos Lakkotrypis departs on Saturday for Beijing on a three-day working visit.

According to a press release, Lakkotrypis will be accompanied by a large group of business people from the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEVE).

During his stay, the minister will have meetings with senior officials from the Chinese government. He will also address a forum organised by the energy ministry, KEVE and the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

Lakkotrypis will be presenting the potential for investments and trade cooperation between Cyprus and China, especially in the fields of energy, real estate, education, shipping and tourism. He will also deliver a speech at the Beijing University of International Entrepreneurship and Economics.

The minister will be returning home on November 1.
