Steroids arrest

LIMASSOL police arrested a 39-year-old food supplement store owner after they found a number of pills and liquids believed to be anabolic steroids and powders believed to be contraband, following a search at his shop.

Officers from the drug squad and officials from the pharmaceutical services carried out a search at the store and found 575 pills and nine bottles of liquid believed to be anabolic steroids. Officers also found 68 bottles of powder which are believed to be contraband, police said.

The 39-year-old’s house was searched and a total of 1,700 pills believed to be anabolic steroids were also confiscated.

He was arrested and held for questioning.
