The injustice of IPT and transfer fees

Has anyone considered the injustice of IPT and transfer fees? None of the current MP’s care, that it’s totally unfair. Examples: Single person owner of property with 1980 value at €25,000 pays €150 IPT annually, while two person owners pay nothing.
Single person owner with house valued at €37,500 pays €225 while three persons on title pay nothing. Cypriots will put several family members on title as it costs nothing to do so and therefore pay no IPT. Cypriot MPs must be the most stupid on the planet or maybe not, since at least 70 per cent of 1980 valued properties are valued at less than €37,500. How do they expect to collect the requirements of the troika? This is the only country in Europe where property taxes are not based solely on the value of the property.
Shouldn’t MP’s have done something about a system that penalises single people, widows, widowers, etc? Property taxes should be based on property value and nothing else. Further differential tax rates invite abuse.
The Land Registry is claiming that it has given out thousands of title deeds in the last six months in order to satisfy the troika demands. But they don’t say they gave them to the developers who use them to ‘blackmail’ buyers into paying extortionate IPT fees before they will transfer title deeds to the rightful owners.
Householders have been told after visiting land registries that the developer has their title deeds. There appears to be no end to deceit and fraud in this paradise. Politicians try to find reasons and excuses why the present system is just, but it is patently unfair. Cypriot MPs support the system because it penalises foreigners not themselves.
