Killed while overtaking

A 24-YEAR-OLD man died on Friday night as he tried to overtake a vehicle with his car, police said.

Glodeanu Constantin Cristian, from Romania, lost control of his car while trying to overtake a vehicle at 10.30pm at Demetris Stavrou street in Nicosia’s Latsia.

The car tumbled onto a field.

Cristian was taken to Nicosia general hospital by ambulance where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

It was not immediately clear whether he was wearing a seat belt.
