‘Justice Against Troika’

THE Anglo-Hellenic and Cypriot Law Association is leading a campaign against the troika of international lenders at the EU Court of Justice (ECJ) in Luxembourg.

The association calls on interested parties to a meeting this month in Nicosia. The meeting, titled ‘Justice Against Troika’, will be held in English and Greek at the Europa Hotel in Engomi at 5pm on October 17, 2013.

According to a press release, leading European legal experts will discuss citizens’ rights in European law and explain the action at the ECJ concerning the Cyprus ‘bail-in’ bailout.

The UK-based association hopes to gauge the level of interest in a class action suit against the troika’s decision to ‘bail-in’ the island’s biggest banks.
