Reigning world champion Pelendritou wins gold in Montreal

CYPRIOT Paralympic Medalist and World Champion Karolina Pelendritou has retained her title after winning first place at the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) World Swimming Championships in Montreal.

Pelendritou won the gold medal in the 100 m breaststroke event, also setting a new world record time – 1:16.10.

She has been world champion since 2010 and holds this year’s world top performance from an international meeting, in Berlin.
