Tourism revenue up in March

Tourist revenues rose 5.6 per cent year-on-year in March to €66 million, the statistical service said on Thursday.

Income in March 2012 was an estimated €62.5 million.

Arrivals in March this year dropped by 1.8 per cent year-on-year, the service said, to 92,620 from 94,300.

Revenues also recorded a 1.0 per cent rise in February, reaching 32.7 million compared with 32.3 million in 2012, despite a 23.6 drop in arrivals.
