Larnaca-Liverpool link from easyJet

BUDGET airline easyJet said on Tuesday it would be expanding its routes from November 2 to England with the addition of two flights per week between Liverpool and Larnaca.

The new route will add to the existing easyJet destinations, Gatwick and Milan, from Larnaca airport, the airline said in a statement. They also fly to and from Gatwick, Luton, Manchester, Bristol and Edinburgh from Paphos.

The planes used on the new route will be the Airbus A320 and will leave Liverpool at 9.15am local time and from Larnaca at 4.40pm local time.

“There has been a steady increase since 2005 when easyJet first began flying to Paphos,” regional operations manager Stefanos Vakirtzis said. He revealed there has been an increase of between 10 and 12 per cent in passengers to and from Cyprus during the beginning of 2013 compared to last year.

“EasyJet will continue to support the Cyprus market with safety, comfort and very competitive prices,” he concluded.
