Cyprus airports not affected by developments in Egypt

The latest developments in Egypt have not affected air connections between Cyprus and Egypt, Adamos Aspris, Hermes Airports’ Spokesman, said Thursday.
In addition, he said, there has been no need so far to provide assistance to airlines that flight to and from Cairo.
Asked if the situation in Egypt affected Cyprus’ two main international airports, Aspris said that two flights – a departure and an arrival – were scheduled to and from Cairo for Thursday, and will take place as planned.
Finally, Aspris said that the authorities of Hermes Airports are closely monitoring developments in the neighbouring country and “we are in close contact with all relevant departments in case of an emergency.”
