Marcos Baghdatis will take on Argentinean Carlos Berlocq in the first round of the ATP World Tour 250 Topshelf Open in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

The sixth seeded Cypriot, who turns 28 on Monday, defeated Berlocq in both of their previous meetings, last season in the opening round of the Toronto Masters and nine years ago at the challenger in Sao Paulo, where he prevailed in the quarterfinals.

Baghdatis has reached the semifinal in ‘s-Hertogenbosch on two occasions, in 2006 and 2011, while he skipped last season’s edition of the event.

The World No. 40 Limassol native is still looking for his first tour victory, since both reaching the Rotterdam quarterfinals in February and appointing Croatian Zeljko Krajan as his new coach.
