German and Spanish FMs extend invitation to Cypriot counterpart

THE FOREIGN Ministers of Germany and Spain have extended an invitation to Cypriot Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides to participate in a discussion on the EU’s future that will take place next week in Mallorca.

According to the Cyprus News Agency, German Ambassador in Nicosia Dr. Gabriela Guellil and Spanish Ambassador Ana Salomon met on Friday with Kasoulides to whom they extended a joint invitation by the Federal Foreign Minister Dr. Guido Westerwelle and his Spanish counterpart José Manuel García-Margallo y Marfíl to Mallorca on June 19.

Among the issues to be discussed will be the decisive juncture of the EU today, how the euro can be stabilised on a durable basis in order to secure growth and employment in the euro area and in the EU as a whole, and how to restore citizens` confidence in the joint European project and strengthen the democratic legitimacy of European action.
