Hard Rock announces closure

HARD Rock Café Nicosia officially announced on Wednesday that it was closing down although it was clear the famous chain had gone out of business when crews began dismantling the façade last week.

In a statement, the company, Hard Rock Restaurants (Cyprus) Ltd blamed its closure on the financial crisis.

“The company has already settled any outstanding issues with staff and will come to an agreement with all of its creditors to smoothly resolve any outstanding issues with them,” the statement said.

The famous Hard Rock chain opened its doors in Nicosia on October 14 last year in one of the key nightlife areas of the capital.
