EAC substation burgled

PAPHOS CID received a report on Wednesday night that a decommissioned Electricity Authority (EAC) substation was burgled, with €2,000 worth of copper rods taken. The substation is situated in the grounds of a fenced factory which produces oil. According to reports the burglars managed to gain entrance to the substation by removing the padlock. The stolen goods were not insured, police said.
