POLICE received a report from a 58-year-old farmer in the Nicosia district that on Tuesday between 5.15pm and 9.30pm, 19 goats, six sheep and five lambs were stolen from his premises. The livestock is valued at around €3,000 with Morphou CID looking into the case. There have been several reports recently of animals being stolen from farms. Police suspect gangs from the north. In one instance, stolen and branded animals from the Greek Cypriot side were found in the north by Turkish Cypriot police.
