Barking dogs driving us crazy

As a former dog owner I realise the importance of discipline, and that is why the complete lack of it shown by a group of dog owners in the village of Ayios Tychonas is so frustrating.

For the last two years the problem with the dogs congregating in the streets and constantly barking is completely out of control. The previous mukhtar’s dog is constantly barking on the top of his roof waking up the whole village but I guess it doesn’t bother him so good luck getting any help there.

People are leaving their dogs at home all day unattended so of course all they will do is bark. If you can’t show some responsibility for your dog such as giving it some attention or walking it, then give it to someone who can.

Grow up and think about the people who have to get  up early in the morning to go to work or people with young children who are constantly woken up at 2am, 3am and 4am by someone’s barking dog

These people are too lazy to take care of their pets and leave them fr4ee to roam around at night.

We have tried and tried to fix this problem. We have tried phoning the police but nothing happens as usual. We have phoned the Ayios Tychonas municipality so many times… they have been apparently trying to clean up the stray dogs but i have to admit they are doing a horrible job. There are about six dogs running the streets barking like mad every night.

Ayios Tychonas village used to be such a peaceful beautiful place to live. Now it’s a loud sleepless dog kennel. People, please show some responsibility and lock your dogs up at night so they don’t treat this beautiful village as a place to defecate on.
