CY resumes Stansted Larnaca flight route

CYPRUS Airways has resumed its flights from Larnaca to London Stansted as of Monday, according to an airline announcement.

Flights will run twice weekly in the winter and three times a week in the summer, with a view to increasing them in the future.

The announcement was made during a ceremony yesterday at the airport.

According to Cyprus Airways’ head for its UK office, Andreas Agathou, the flights were stopped in February due to general cost-saving measures that the airline was obligated to take because of increased fuel costs.
