Government will reap what it sows

Isn’t it a bit laughable that most of us simple folk, who perhaps didn’t vote for the village gnome and his cronies, realise that action needs to be tough, fast and sustainable?

Instead, what we see is a defiant, lukewarm and rather pathetic official response to even trying to safeguard the economy, never mind the criminal negligence we’ve seen demonstrated over public safety.

The audacity of a president who can stand ‘tall’ and say that he will not resign as the people voted him in to power is, in my opinon, absolutely delusional.

What makes him think that at the end of the day ‘his word is final’?

Where is the vote of ‘no’ confidence by the others who pick up a fat bonus after 10 years and a pension that most people will not even see as a monthly salary, even if they work 60 years!

To think that Cyprus will in a few months sink economically because of inaction by this government and the unions, who believe that they have priority over the rest of us citizens and those of us who contribute to the Cyprus economy, even as full taxpayers!

This government, its unions and its members will ‘reap what they sow’, much to the detriment of those of us who would hope that they for once would see sense and put the good of the country first.

This president will definitely be remembered and will go down in history, but not in the way his narrow, self-fulfilling egotistical mind thinks.
