Mother’s plea: ‘I hope she isn’t found’

SARAH’S daughter and her mother have both said they are “worried sick” about Sarah and her son.

“We are devastated and worried sick, but I can understand why Sarah has left Cyprus, she had no choice,” said Pat Norton, Sarah’s mother, speaking from the UK. “The cases stacked up against her are nothing but fabrication by Andros in an attempt to hurt her because she left him.”

“I lived with my mum and Andros when they were together and they were always arguing,” added 18-year-old Sophia, Sarah’s daughter from a previous relationship.

The situation between the estranged couple is complex and there is evidently no love lost in the attitude of Pat and Sophia towards Andros.

“It’s because of Andros that my daughter is in this mess, I hope that she isn’t found and she has a nice life with Alex because she deserves it after everything this man has put her through,” said Pat.

Police in Britain have yet to visit Pat’s home in the UK, but both she and Sophia are adamant that they have had no contact with Sarah since her disappearance and have no idea where she is.

Both women claim that Andros had recently prevented them from seeing Alex and was trying to cut them out of his life.

“Alex didn’t even know when we were in Cyprus,” said Sophia. ”We bumped into him at the social workers office and he ran to me and gave me a hug saying that he had to live with Daddy because we don’t love him any more.”

Pat added: “The whole system in Cyprus is corrupt and I would only urge Sarah to turn herself in if all the fabricated cases against her were dropped and if she was granted decent access to her son.”

The British resident firmly believes that the case against Sarah of allegedly trying to hire two Nigerian hitmen to kill Andros was a scam set up by him to get back at her daughter.

“There are too many coincidences for him not to be behind it all. And where is my daughter supposed to have been able to get hold of thirty thousand euros to pay these guys, it’s completely ridiculous,” she said.

“I just want my mum to know that I love her,” a tearful Sophia said,
