Buying a property in Cyprus can be challenging

Buying property in Cyprus can be a challenge so a special thank you to all of you that are fighting for our rights, law and justice.

We are a Scandinavian family that have for many years been dreaming of enjoying beautiful sunsets from our own apartment in the Paphos area.

In 2006, we thought our dream would be realised when we bought an apartment that was exactly what we had dreamed of.

However, what we didn’t know was that there was a special relationship between the developer, the lawyer and the bank.

When we met  to receive the key to our apartment we realised that we had a serious problem, and we still do. Neither our former lawyer, the developer nor the Bank had the pleasure of visiting the Land Registry Department as they should have done according to the law.

In April 2009 during a seminar from the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Scandinavia, we met lawyer whose firm thankfully took over our case and agreed to help us. We are still in the process of fighting for our rights and for the right to get what we paid for and dreamed of.

We would like to send a special thank you to everyone at the law office for backing us up and supporting us in this long  process that is costing our family a lot of money and energy.

We still have a long way to go before we can enjoy the Paphos sunsets, but look forward to it.

We would like to underline that we wish to stay anonymous, since our case is still in process and could affect the result of our efforts of the last four years.
