Tiesto’s Kaleidoscope tour comes to Dolce club

SUPERSTAR DJ Tiesto is performing in Limassol tomorrow night as part of his Kaleidoscope world tour.

The 41-year-old Dutch DJ arrives later today ahead of his one Cypriot appearance on his latest world tour.

The DJ has been voted into one of the top two spots as the greatest and second best DJ in the world for the last six years.

Frantzeskos Hadjimichael owner of Dolce Club in Limassol, where the star will appear, told the Cyprus Mail: “I’m a big fan of Tiesto and we are looking forward to having him at the club. But at the moment I’m more tired than excited as there has been so much to do.”

According to Hadjimichael, Tiesto will be at the club early this evening for a sound check ahead of his performance tomorrow.

“There are other DJs supporting Tiesto,” he said. “And depending on his mood he may play a two hour set or for longer.”

Tickets, priced €50, are still available he said.

The sound of the Kaleidoscope album has a more mainstream appeal than the artist’s previous releases, but so far it has been generally well received.

Tiesto was born Tijs Michiel Verwest on January 17, 1969. As well as a DJ he is a musician, a record producer and remix artist.

He has used many aliases, and first made his name as DJ Tiesto.But now he goes solely by the name of Tiesto.

He was the first DJ to play live on stage at an Olympic games opening ceremony when he perforned in Athens in 2004.

Tiësto released his fourth studio album, Kaleidoscope, in October 2009.
