What about the Indians, Your Excellency?

It’s nice to see that when visiting Cyprus, the Indian president always has a lovely bust to lay a wreath at and a picturesque street to remind her of the wonderful relations between the two countries.
As a bemused observer, I was somewhat disappointed to note the marked absence of any mention of or contact with her compatriots living as students and migrant workers on the island during President Patil’s visit last week: only a visit to a business forum.
If she’d stayed a day longer, she could have celebrated with us at the Rainbow festival.
