Jewellery heist in Chlorakas

JEWELLERY WITH an estimated value of €15,000 was stolen from jewellery shop in Chlorakas overnight on Friday.

The robbery was discovered yesterday morning, when the outer metal shutters were found to have been cut open and the main door forced.

According to initial reports, the shop’s alarm was triggered, but the robbers managed to deaden the sound using foam and a black bag.

The tools suspected as having been used in the break-in were found in a field behind the shop, and collected by police as evidence
