Title deeds mess a blight on Cyprus’ reputation

Around a decade ago I had the option of buying a house in Cyprus. Luckily I stayed out.

Why? Because there were stories about endless problems of all kind, a lot of them related to title deeds.
I remember an English couple who said they had decided to sell their house back home and invest the money in a property in Paphos.

I asked them if they were familiar with the country. They said it was the first time they had been in Cyprus but they had been there three whole weeks. “Cyprus is really a paradise! Where do I find an estate agency?” they said

In most countries the leaders are more talkers than doers, Cyprus may be rather high on that ranking.
Sorting out responsibilities is not for me to do but this endless mess is a shame to the country.
