Freedom of speech is EU guaranteed

Once again a foreigner dares to legitimately criticise the Cypriot Government/President/People and he is invited to leave Shangri La? (A.P. Loizou’s letter Sunday Mail August 9) “I wonder why Mr Davis who says he lives in Droushia does not emigrate to another country”

I would remind A.P. Loizou that freedom of speech is guaranteed right in the EU as per article 11 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. Last time I checked, Cyprus was still a member of the EU. So as I know Mr Davis is both a tax payer in Cyprus and an EU citizen, I suggest he has a much right to his opinion as A.P. Loizou has to his/hers!
