Pafilia donates parking lot to ease Limassol traffic

PAFILIA yesterday announced that it will grant a site owned by the company to the Municipality of Limassol to be used as a parking lot, in a bid to ease Limassol’s traffic congestion problem.

The move is part of Pafilia’s corporate responsibility programme and will involve the company covering the expenses of converting the site into a parking lot.

“Pafilia believes that the provision of such a large parking area, holding around 200 cars, will help to alleviate the congestion problems, providing parking for employees and customers of nearby businesses, tourists, visitors to the nearby beach and visitors to the numerous events organised by the Municipality at the Municipal Gardens and surrounding areas,” said Elias Eliades, Chairman of the Pafilia Group of companies.

The site is located opposite the Limassol Municipal Gardens and Zoo and is expected to be delivered to the public within two weeks. Pafilia estimates that the project will cost €30,000.

“The Municipality welcomes this initiative and would like to thank Pafilia, who have supported the work Municipality many times previously. We are sure the citizens of Limassol will be equally delighted,” commented the Mayor of Limassol Andreas Christou.
