Larnaca Municipality needs to wake up to parking chaos

Congratulations to Larnaca Municipality for solving the parking problems and helping the shops to get over the present economical crisis.

What does it matter that pedestrians have to walk between cars as long as all our car owners doesn’t need to waste any energy walking more than five metres to their favourite shop.

These pictures were shot in early June and despite numerous calls to the traffic police and the traffic wardens office, nothing has changed until today. You can even see police cars or traffic wardens passing by without taking any action. But God help someone who missed putting a coin in the parking meter!

How on earth can you expect our citizens to behave, when the authorities don’t give a damn about these obvious problems? Until the responsible people change their attitude and start to use their common sense as well as implementing the laws, nothing will change.

Can we really believe that not one responsible person at Larnaca Municipality passed this part of their town during the last two weeks, without noticing this parking chaos? It’s time for certain people to wake up.
