RESIDENTS OF Androlikou village have sent out a desperate plea for help over the constant quarrying they say is tearing apart their town.

The village sits in a region of outstanding natural beauty on the Polis Chrysochous side of Akamas but daily explosions and heavy excavations are decimating the area.

In reference to the letter by an Erimi resident (‘You can’t hike prices if it’s quiet’, Letters, June 7), I couldn’t agree more with your statement regards prices in Cyprus.

I used to live in Erimi village but left in 2005 and returned to England. I could see that the writing was on the wall regards prices as it drew nearer to Cyprus joining the EU.

LIMASSOL’S recently opened Tiffany Mall has been renamed to ‘My Mall’, following an out of court settlement between Tiffany Investments Ltd and US-based Tiffany & Co.

The American company reportedly objected to the use of the name ‘Tiffany’ both by the mall and the company that owns it, which lead to the name change to avoid legal troubles.
