Six arrested over kidnap and beating of Pontian teenagers

SIX men aged between 20 and 25 have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping and beating of two young Pontian boys in Paphos.

The men took the boys, aged 14 and 15, to Yeroskipou, where they held them, hitting them and demanding to know if either they or their friends had stolen one of the men’s motorbike.

The children denied all knowledge but were held for more than an hour until their captors realised the boys didn’t have any information regarding the theft.

The duo reported the incident to Paphos police, who arrested the suspects.
