Man dies of bike crash injuries

A MAN from Limassol yesterday succumbed to his injuries after spending a week in critical condition following a road accident.

He is the fifth victim of the island’s roads in just the first week of the New Year.

The 53-year-old man had been riding his motorbike on the Tombs of the Kings Avenue in Paphos on New Year’s Day, when he lost control of his bike and skidded across the road.

Not wearing a helmet, the 53-year-old was taken to Paphos General Hospital in critical condition. He died in the early hours of yesterday morning.
