Clerides ‘better by the day’

FORMER President Glafcos Clerides’ health condition is progressing steadily, according to his personal physician Dr. Joseph Kassios

Clerides continues to be hospitalised in the Evangelistria Clinic following an operation for a fractured left hip on December 9.

On Monday, his scheduled discharge to the EOKA Veterans’ Home in Palodia for further rehabilitation and physiotherapy was postponed after he developed a lung infection.

Kassios said yesterday that Clerides “is much better and his condition in general is changing for the better”.

Referring to the lung infection, Kassios said that “he has not completely recovered from it, but the infection is clearly much better than last Monday and it gets better by the day”.
