Regarding your November 22 article, ‘DNA tests show girl raped by father wasn’t his daughter’.

I was rather confused about the man who raped his 15-year-old daughter, who was “shocked” at the fact that DNA tests show that he was not her father.

Ruling with my pocket, not my heart

Being a native of Cyprus, I am amazed and bemused by the lack of vision shown by the Cyprus tourist board.

I have been visiting my second home two to three times a year since the late 80s and very rarely do I get a “cheap” deal.

Wheelchair pinching at Nicosia hospital

Of course people are going to pinch wheelchairs – it’s a mile and a half from the wards to the car park!

Could I suggest an obviously simple solution: a wheelchair rental/sale shop within the hospital, for one hour/week/month?

Three more days for Panteli as police seek access to accounts

THE NICOSIA District Court yesterday renewed the remand of outgoing chairman of Anorthosis Andreas Panteli for another three days, as the police called for the lifting of banking secrecy for the disclosure of his accounts.

Panteli, 48, is accused of stealing €418,000 from Champions League proceeds, and attempting to appropriate some €500,000 from the club through false pretences.

Government urged to act on title deeds

THE unresolved problem of title deeds is a serious issue that needs to be dealt with, the Cyprus Land and Property Owners’ Association (KSIA) said yesterday.

Speaking at their annual general meeting, KSIA president George Strovolides said there were over 100,000 people without title deeds.
